Home secretary 'doing everything she can' to deport freed grooming gang leader, says Murray

The health secretary James Murray has confirmed the government will allow puberty blocker trials to proceed, saying he has "robustly interrogated" the clinical safeguards in place.

The announcement comes as the government faces pressure over multiple policy areas including the deportation of convicted rapist Shabir Ahmed.
