LGE 2026 | Zille vows DA will appoint skilled leaders
The Democratic Alliance's Johannesburg mayoral candidate, Helen Zille, says the party will appoint people with integrity and the necessary skills to key positions, to work for the city.
Speaking at the DA's manifesto launch at the Mary Fitzgerald Square in Newtown in Johannesburg, Zille vowed to ring-fence and protect revenue collected from water and electricity services within the city.
The party says the manifesto serves as a contract focused on practical, implementable solutions to fix failing and collapsing municipalities.
