An Object Larger Than Jupiter is now Positioned Just Outside Earth's Orbit...

Comet 220P/McNaught, a short-period Jupiter family comet, is now positioned close to Earth and has undergone two violent outbursts on June 3rd and August 5th that have caused it to suddenly expand its coma to a size larger than Jupiter and to become ~35,000x brighter than normal. Woah! Is this normal and what caused these outbursts? Geophysicist Stefan Burns reports...
