Reuben Gray stepped onto the Britain’s Got Talent stage believing that his father, who served in the army, would be unable to attend his audition. Moments later, a voice called out from the audience and Reuben turned to discover that his dad had secretly come to support him. After the emotional surprise, Reuben performed his original song “Lifeline” while playing the piano. His honest songwriting and musicianship earned praise from the judges and carried him through to the semi-finals, where he returned with another original song and proved himself as a promising young singer-songwriter.
