Devastating crash near London, ON claims life of Durham Police recruit

A Constable in Training with Durham Regional Police was killed in a devastating crash near London, Ontario Tuesday morning.

In north Aylmer before 11:30 a.m. two CIT’s (Constables in Training) were just 3 kilometres away from the Ontario Police College when their vehicle collided with a transport truck.

The crash claimed the life of one of the CIT’s and left the other with life threatening injuries. Police say the driver of the transport truck was not injured.

As Lexy Benedict reports, the identity of the recruits has not been released and police are asking the public to respect the privacy of those affected as they grieve this tragic loss.
