Typhoon Maysak has unleashed torrential rain, flooding and landslides across China, leaving at least 21 people dead and triggering large-scale rescue operations. More than 130,000 residents were evacuated in Guangxi as overflowing rivers, a reservoir dam breach and severe flooding damaged homes and farmland. Storms also killed 11 people in Hubei, while a deadly landslide in Gansu buried dozens. Chinese authorities have deployed emergency teams, relief supplies and reconstruction funds as heavy rain and flood risks persist.
