Why Trump's 'EMBARRASSING' reflecting pool reversal should WORRY every American

In a major reversal, the Justice Department announced it is dropping felony charges against a former Olympian after acknowledging that damage to the Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool was caused by a flawed installation rather than vandalism. The motion to dismiss was filed by D.C. U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro on Friday after prosecutors concluded the damage attributed to former Olympian David Hearn was the result of defects in the installation of the reflecting pool's liner. The filing stated that information obtained after the indictment showed the damage was caused by, quote, "botched work" performed by the project's contractor, which was hired by the Trump administration, and not by criminal conduct. President Trump lashed out on social media, stating that he disagreed, quote, "100% with Jeanine Pirro on the reflecting pool," and again claimed—without evidence—that it was, quote, "a pure case of vandalism." Norm Eisen, a member of David Hearn's defense team, joins Morning Joe to discuss the latest developments. Eisen is also the co-founder of Democracy Defenders Action, a bipartisan advocacy and legal organization that fights authoritarian threats.
