Prashant Kishor has secured the first-ever electoral victory for his Jan Suraaj Party by defeating the BJP in the prestigious Bankipur Assembly bypoll in Bihar. Kishor defeated BJP candidate Neeraj Kumar Sinha by over 19,000 votes, ending the BJP's nearly 30-year dominance in the constituency. Meanwhile, in Madhya Pradesh, the Congress retained the Datia Assembly seat by defeating the BJP, while the BJP managed to retain only Manjalpur in Gujarat. The bypoll results are being viewed as an important political signal ahead of upcoming electoral battles, particularly in Bihar.
