Yemen's Ansar Allah (Houthi) movement has announced a naval blockade targeting Saudi Arabia, saying the move is in response to recent attacks on Sanaa airport.
Saudi Arabia has condemned the blockade, while the Saudi-led coalition says it will protect commercial shipping in the Bab al-Mandab Strait and respond to threats with force.
The development raises fresh concerns over global energy supplies, as Saudi Arabia has already diverted much of its oil exports through a cross-country pipeline following disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz.
