The United States has carried out a 10th consecutive night of air strikes on Iran, targeting sites Washington says are linked to attacks on commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
Explosions have been reported across southern Iran, including Bandar Abbas, Qeshm Island, Chabahar and Konarak, while Iranian media says air defenses were activated near the Bushehr nuclear power plant.
Despite the escalating military campaign, diplomatic efforts continue behind the scenes. Regional mediators, including Qatar and Pakistan, are reportedly pushing for a ceasefire as Gulf states warn of the growing risk of a wider regional conflict.
Al Jazeera reports from Tehran, Washington and Doha.
