Saints Row 4 Is Just GTA If It Gave Up On Reality

After playing Saints Row 1, Saints Row 2, and Saints Row The Third, I finally played Saints Row 4: Re-Elected to see whether this is truly the last good Saints Row game or the point where the series completely lost its mind. This time the Saints go from gang leaders to the President of the United States, get abducted by aliens, trapped in a simulation, given superpowers, forced through loyalty missions, romances, Johnny Gat’s return, Zinyak’s weird obsession, and a finale that somehow ends with time travel and dancing. I also had so many technical issues with the PC version that I ended up buying a PlayStation 5 Pro just to play it, meaning I had to suffer through an entire shooter on controller. Saints Row 4 is repetitive, ridiculous, clearly feels like Saints Row 3 DLC stretched into a full game, and yet there is so much passion and stupidity here that I kind of respect it.
