I’m continuing my LA Noire playthrough, and this session finally brings the homicide desk’s serial killer plot to a head as Cole and Rusty follow cryptic poem clues across Los Angeles, climb landmarks, crawl through tar pits, get lost in a maze, and eventually confront the man behind the murders. Unfortunately, solving the biggest case of Cole’s career does not mean the truth gets to come out, and after a political cover-up he is promoted to Vice, where things somehow get even worse. From The Black Caesar to The Set Up and The Naked City, I investigate army morphine, drugged popcorn, gambling rackets, boxing fixes, corrupt cops, stolen jewelry, suspicious doctors, and enough awful people to make homicide look almost professional.
