The United States launched one of its biggest military operations against Iran in recent weeks, striking more than 80 targets after accusing Tehran of attacking three commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said the precision strikes targeted Iranian air defense systems, command-and-control networks, coastal radar sites, anti-ship missile batteries and more than 60 IRGC fast attack boats. Massive explosions were reported in Bandar Abbas, Qeshm Island and Sirik. Iran condemned the attacks as a breach of the ceasefire and warned of retaliation, while the latest escalation rattled global markets, sending oil prices higher amid fears of a wider regional conflict.
