Nine Canadian provinces announced Tuesday the lifting of major barriers to interprovincial alcohol sales.
Under the new deal, provinces will allow brewers and distillers to sell alcohol directly to consumers, regardless of jurisdiction.
Following the agreement, between premiers in P.E.I. Atlantic Canada producers, small brewers, wineries, and distilleries are eyeing new markets across the country.
But business advocates and industry experts warn that the transition will not happen overnight due to logistical hurdles. Reeti Meenaskshi Rohilla reports.
