DONETSK, SUMY BATTLES: Two Settlements Captured As Russia Claims Breakthrough in Zaporozhye

Russia's Defence Ministry said on July 22 that its forces had captured the settlements of Artelnoye in the Kharkov region and Blagodatnoye in the Zaporozhye region while continuing offensive operations across multiple sectors of the front. Moscow also claimed its aviation, missile troops and drones struck Neptune coastal missile launchers, logistics hubs, long-range drone production facilities and military infrastructure used by Ukrainian forces. In one of its most notable claims, the ministry said Russian air defenses intercepted nine guided bombs and 808 fixed-wing drones during the reporting period. The battlefield claims could not be independently verified.
