The Supreme Court refused to grant an urgent hearing on a petition seeking a probe into the alleged police action against student protesters during the Cockroach Janata Party’s (CJP) march in Delhi over the NEET paper leak row.

The matter was mentioned before Chief Justice of India (CJI) Surya Kant by advocate Narendra Mishra, who sought an urgent listing of the plea alleging police excesses during the protest that demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and reforms in the examination system.
