Consignaction is introducing new measures to stop Ontario residents from returning empty cans and bottles in Quebec to obtain refunds. The organization that runs Quebec's recycling program says residents will now have to use an app and an express service to verify their products were purchased in the province; Wes Hunter and his family have turned their property into 1818 Farm and Cidery, an award-winning business that recently produced the best cider in the country. CTV's Leah Larocque reports that Hunter, who brought years of experience in the wine industry, says the Golden Child cider took months to ferment before it won Canadian Cider of the Year at the WineAlign National Wine Awards; and The Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario is reporting a significant increase in e-scooter injuries, with 93 kids visiting the emergency room over the past year compared to 34 the year prior.
