Wes Hunter and his family have turned their property into 1818 Farm and Cidery, an award-winning business that recently produced the best cider in the country. CTV's Leah Larocque reports that Hunter, who brought years of experience in the wine industry, says the Golden Child cider took months to ferment before it won Canadian Cider of the Year at the WineAlign National Wine Awards. The property also features a restaurant where the menu is built from ingredients grown in its own greenhouse. Hunter says he hopes to make the farm a cider destination, with every bottle expressing his family's ideas.
