Dramatic footage from Ceuta, Spain, shows a lone migrant swimming to shore before running barefoot into the Spanish enclave as police officers pursued him.
The incident took place at Tarajal Beach, where the man was seen reaching land, running through the area, and jumping back over railings onto the shoreline while attempting to evade authorities.
The footage comes amid an unprecedented surge in border crossings into Ceuta. According to Spanish authorities, around 50,000 people crossed into the enclave by land and sea in recent days, with most later returning to Morocco. Officials also reported dozens of deaths linked to the dangerous crossings.
