Volunteers and organizers are setting up barriers and preparing the finish line as 3,000 athletes get ready to compete in the Ironman Canada-Ottawa triathlon across the capital. CTV's Kimberley Johnson speaks with participant Hollis Maradyn Jowsey, who says the city is buzzing with excitement ahead of the race. Race director David Holme says a team of over 2,000 volunteers is needed to coordinate the 3.8-kilometre swim, 180-kilometre bike ride and full marathon. Ottawa Tourism expects the grueling endurance event to inject more than $8 million into the local economy as businesses like Bushtaka report an influx of customers.
