Author and commentator Anand Ranganathan has backed the 2026 Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA) amendments, while expressing reservations about one provision concerning government takeover of assets.

Speaking on the proposed legislation, Ranganathan said, "I support the 2026 FCRA amendments except for one clause of taking over the assets by the government, which I believe should be tweaked a little."
