After 26 days on a hunger strike, activist Sonam Wangchuk has ended his fast following government assurances on stronger action against exam paper leaks, including promises of faster accountability and reforms.
However, the political debate has intensified. While Wangchuk welcomed the assurances, the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has continued to demand the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, raising fresh questions about the direction of the protest and the differing positions within the movement.
