‘People Power in Action’ | Half a Million Households Abandon BBC Licence Fee

More than half a million households have stopped paying the BBC television licence in a single year, leaving the broadcaster facing what its own director-general has called a “moment of real jeopardy”.

Former BBC presenter Alex Dyke argues that the exodus represents “people power in action”, claiming viewers are rejecting a corporation they believe has become too woke, too left-wing and increasingly disconnected from its traditional audience.

The BBC says changing viewing habits, streaming competition and fewer major sporting events have contributed to the decline.
