A top AI safety researcher has warned the technology is advancing so quickly there is a greater than 10% chance it "could kill all humans" within the next decade.
Former Anthropic scientist Evan Hubinger said in an X post AI could soon improve itself to an extent that it would pose an existential threat to humanity - a claim backed up by another high-profile AI researcher.
Mr Hubinger said AI companies were not doing enough to address the threat.
