A morning rush hour race from Kanata to the ByWard Market found driving to be faster than transit. CTV's Tyler Fleming reports that University of Ottawa student Tony Isa says cancelled buses are a major snag in the system for western suburban riders. The Route 60 bus arrived late before a broken train at Tunney's Pasture extended the transit trip to 68 minutes. Reporter Peter Szperling arrived at the downtown studio roughly 20 minutes earlier by car despite multiple crashes along Highway 417.
