Would EU 'associate member' status fly in Canada? | Power & Politics

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen made her state of the union address in Strasbourg, France, on Wednesday to a room of EU politicians and other dignitaries, including Prime Minister Mark Carney. In her speech, von der Leyen expressed a desire for Canada to become an 'associate member' of the European Union, but what that might mean remains to be seen.
