Fed Raises Rates as Warsh Bucks Trump to Contain Inflation: Fed Special

Bloomberg's Tom Keene, Jonathan Ferro and Lisa Abramowicz discuss remarks from Fed Chair Kevin Warsh after the Federal Reserve raised rates for the first time since 2023. The FOMC voted unanimously to raise rates by 25 basis points and the dot plot showed many Fed officials signaling support for further hikes. The move to hike rates goes in the face of prolonged pressure from President Trump to lower rates. Warsh said 'I’ve got nothing for you on on a discussion with the president' when asked by reporters.
