A powerful 7.1-magnitude earthquake struck Japan's Kumamoto Prefecture, injuring more than 50 people and forcing over 150,000 residents to evacuate. The quake triggered power outages affecting 40,000 homes, disrupted train and flight services, damaged roads and bridges, and caused a freight train to derail. A tsunami warning was briefly issued before being lifted.
