Toronto had the worst air quality in the world as of Wednesday afternoon due to wildfire smoke drifting in from northwestern Ontario.
IQ Air, a Swiss air quality technology company that operates the world’s largest real-time air quality information platform, ranked Canada’s largest city as the worst for air quality, ahead of Kinshasha in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Delhi and Doha, Qatar.
Canadians are being advised to limit time outdoors and prioritize keeping cool inside.
