Jagannath Puri Rath Yatra: Two Devotees Die; Odisha CMO Denies Stampede Claims | Watch

During the sacred Rath Yatra in Puri, Odisha, two devotees died and several others fell ill due to heavy crowds and excessive heat. The Chief Minister's Office confirmed that an elderly devotee became breathless and passed away, while another devotee died in a critical condition. The Odisha administration and the health minister categorically stated that no stampede took place. The Chief Minister expressed profound grief and conveyed condolences to the bereaved families. Other devotees who felt unwell were promptly admitted to nearby hospitals by the administration, where they are receiving medical services.
