CENTCOM spokesman says US military ‘strictly adheres to laws of armed conflict’

US CENTCOM spokesman Tim Hawkins has told Al Jazeera the US military is fully adhering to the laws of armed conflict in Iran, exclusively attacking “military targets” in its operations.

Asked about US attacks that Iranian authorities say have killed civilians, Hawkins said, “We have never targeted civilians in our operations, and that is in stark contrast to Iran and in particular the IRGC.”
