US President Donald Trump has held an impromptu press conference at the Irish Open golf tournament in Doonbeg, Ireland, addressing a wide range of international and domestic issues.
Trump claimed Iran is seeking a diplomatic deal with the United States and said Tehran is “calling constantly”. He also criticised Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy over attacks on Russian diesel refineries, arguing they could contribute to global fuel shortages.
Trump expressed support for the unification of Ireland and Northern Ireland and claimed the US is ahead of China in the global race for Artificial Intelligence.
He also praised the return of major oil companies including ExxonMobil and Chevron to Venezuela, while criticising wind energy in Scotland and discussing energy policy in the UK.
