Saylor disappeared from a vacation rental near Pawleys Island, South Carolina, on August 30, 2026. Her body was recovered from the Waccamaw River the following morning.
The preliminary autopsy found pulmonary edema and no visible internal or external trauma. The official cause and manner of death remain undetermined while additional laboratory testing is completed.
