Mercedes' George Russell topped the Pirelli soft-tyre runs on Monza Friday but Ferrari were very close. Charles Leclerc and Sir Lewis Hamilton matched Russell's long-run pace - as did Russell's team-mate, the championship leader, Kimi Antonelli, who will start from the back of the grid following an engine change. McLaren-Mercedes were P4/P6, and Red Bull-RBPT Ford's Max Verstappen was P9 on light fuel - but up there with the McLarens in the long-run phase.
