Ukraine's 57th Motorized Brigade has released drone footage that it says shows forests near Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region covered with fibre-optic cables left behind by Russian FPV drones.
Fibre-optic drones have become increasingly important on the battlefield because they are resistant to electronic jamming. The cables can stretch for several kilometres behind the drones, and researchers say they are now becoming part of the natural environment, with birds even using the material to build nests.
The exact location and date of the footage have not been independently verified, but the brigade says the video was filmed near the embattled town of Vovchansk.
