How Democrats plan to flip ‘the new political epicenter’ of the country: The South

Former White House Communications Director for President Obama, Jennifer Palmieri, joins Morning Joe to discuss her new 6 episode limited-series on YouTube titled, "Long Play: Winning the South." The show explores the South as the new political epicenter of the country, as population and power move South because of demographic changes as well as an upending of political maps from changes in the Voting Rights Act. Jen argues the truth for both parties is that if you want to win in America, whether that be the presidential election or control of Congress, you need to be able to win multiple states in the South. The first two episodes – out now – now focus on the races in Georgia and Texas.
