CJI Surya Kant Clarifies 'No Time To Watch Videos' Remark Over CJP Protest Plea | Watch

Chief Justice of India clarified previous remarks regarding video evidence of alleged police brutality during protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act and National Register of Citizens. Clarifying that earlier comments were misunderstood, it was stated that the Supreme Court remains open to all legitimate petitions filed through proper legal procedures rather than informal letters or oral requests for suo motu action. With formal petitions now submitted regarding the alleged police crackdown on protesters, the Supreme Court is scheduled to hear the matter on Monday. High Courts have also begun hearing related petitions on the issue.
