The United States has carried out a fresh wave of airstrikes on Iran, marking the 13th consecutive day of military operations. According to CENTCOM, the strikes targeted drone storage facilities and IRGC command centres to safeguard maritime security and freedom of navigation. Explosions were reported across Bandar Abbas, Khuzestan, Sirik, Jask, Qeshm Island and Ahvaz, where Iranian media claimed multiple casualties and injuries. The attacks come amid escalating rhetoric from President Donald Trump and continued tensions over the Strait of Hormuz. While Iran claims the strategic waterway is closed, Washington says commercial shipping continues under US naval protection, with no immediate signs of de-escalation.
