Most travelers visiting Indonesia head straight to Bali... but what about Jakarta? We wanted to find out so we're exploring Jakarta for the very first time to see what life is really like in one of Southeast Asia's biggest cities. From modern skyscrapers and luxury shopping malls to the historic streets of Old Jakarta (Kota Tua), we wanted to experience every side of Indonesia's bustling capital. We also wandered around Jalan Sabang, tried delicious Indonesian street food just steps from our hotel, explored the city's local neighborhoods, and discovered a side of Jakarta that completely changed our expectations.
