Editor-at-Large for Mail on Sunday, Charlotte Griffiths shares information from royal sources about how King Charles is handling Earl Spencer's latest allegations.
King Charles was left "giddily elated" upon hearing of the death of Princess Diana, Earl Charles Spencer's bombshell new book has claimed.
The brother of Diana claimed the then-Prince of Wales sounded "like a lottery winner" during a phone call on the night of her death, according to his new memoir Swan Song: Diana, My Sister, which is being serialised in the Daily Mail.
King Charles told Earl Spencer that he had already informed Princes William and Harry of their mother's death, the book says.
"It all sounded strangely matter-of-fact, given the enormity of the disaster," Earl Spencer writes.
