Germany Heatwave and Drought Threaten Harvest as Farmers Face Crop Losses Across the Country Crisis

Germany is facing a severe agricultural crisis as a third heatwave pushes temperatures towards 39°C, with drought threatening crops, livestock feed, and next year’s harvest.

Farmers warn that wheat and rapeseed could suffer major losses in parts of southern Germany. Baden-Württemberg has declared an agricultural emergency, and grain harvests may fall by up to 7% compared to last year.
