Italy defies EU open border policy as it imposed border controls with Spain after migrant rush

There’s a growing diplomatic spat between Italy and Spain after thousands of migrants rushed into the Spanish enclave of Ceuta last week.

Italy temporarily re-imposed border controls with Spain, defying the EU’s open border policy.

And now Spain is firing back with travel restrictions of its own.
