Spanish Troops Rush Into Ceuta As Migrant Surge Explodes Into Full-Blown Border Crisis

Spanish troops have been deployed to the country's North African enclave of Ceuta to contain a migrant surge after tens of thousands of people crossed into the autonomous city from Morocco. Ceuta regional president Juan Jesus Vivas said around 60,000 people had entered the city within 24 hours. Spain later raised the confirmed death toll linked to the crossings to at least 57.
