‘Can’t Help But Notice Who’s Doing These Crimes’ | 'Massive Protests' Planned In Northern Ireland

A man believed to be Somali has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a savage knife attack in Belfast left a man seriously injured in hospital. The shocking violence, which was partly caught on video, saw members of the public step in before police arrived, and has triggered fresh questions about immigration, public safety and whether dangerous people are slipping through the net. Keir Starmer called the attack sickening, while Kemi Badenoch said people would rightly want to know if the suspect should even have been in the country. Police say the investigation is moving quickly, but the case has already sent fear through the local community.
