A major split is emerging between Washington and Tehran over the latest talks in Switzerland. The United States says Iran will accept broad nuclear inspections, while Tehran denies it and continues demanding what it calls “nuclear ambiguity.” President Trump is warning Iran directly: if Tehran violates the agreement, he will do what must be done.
Vice President J.D. Vance said Iran agreed to allow IAEA inspectors into its nuclear sites, but Iranian media immediately rejected that claim as fake news. Trump insists Iran will accept long-term oversight, while Iran’s Revolutionary Guards show no urgency to give up the regime’s most valuable asset.
As part of the emerging U.S.-Iran memorandum, Iran is expected to gain access to roughly $15 billion in frozen funds held in Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. Tehran is presenting the talks as a victory, claiming it received major concessions, while Israel is watching with deep concern.
The report explains how Israel may be losing freedom of action against Hezbollah. A new U.S.-backed monitoring mechanism involving CENTCOM has begun operating in Lebanon, while Iran claims a direct role in the Lebanese arena alongside the United States, Qatar, Pakistan, and Lebanon. The concern in Israel is that Hezbollah may use the restrictions to gather intelligence, rebuild, and prepare for the next round.
In northern Gaza, the IDF and Shin Bet eliminated Abu Hasana, a Nukhba terrorist who took part in the October 7 massacre and was involved in planting explosives during the war. He was also the terrorist who forced hostage Omer Shem Tov to kiss him on the forehead during the staged release ceremony.
A Jewish civilian and a police officer were killed in a shooting near a Chabad house in Montreal. A second officer was seriously wounded, residents were told to shelter because of an armed suspect, and the shooter was eliminated. Canadian police say the motive is still unknown, but the attack near a Jewish site is raising serious concern.
