Iran launched attacks against American targets in the Middle East after U.S. strikes hit Revolutionary Guards targets inside Iran. The escalation began after Iran attacked a cargo ship off the coast of Oman and continued with renewed danger in the Strait of Hormuz, where the Revolutionary Guards are trying to force ships to coordinate their routes with Tehran.
President Trump called the Iranian drone attack on a cargo ship a “stupid violation of the ceasefire agreement” and ordered CENTCOM to strike back. American fighter jets and cruise missiles hit drone bases, launch infrastructure, coastal radar stations, missile storage sites, and Revolutionary Guards command centers along the Persian Gulf. Explosions were reported near Sirik, close to the Strait of Hormuz.

While the sea is burning, Israel and Lebanon signed a historic framework agreement for a new security arrangement on the northern border. The agreement is designed to transfer certain cleared areas to the Lebanese Army under American supervision, with Lebanese forces undergoing checks and training to make sure they are not connected to terror elements.
Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem erupted against the Lebanese government for signing with Israel and declared that Hezbollah is not bound by the agreement. Supporters of the terror organization demonstrated against the framework agreement, and the Lebanese Army opened fire toward protesters. Concern is now growing in Lebanon over an internal confrontation — and even the possibility of civil war.
Prime Minister Netanyahu and the defense minister made clear that Israel will not allow Hezbollah or Iran to sabotage the security achievements gained in the war. If Hezbollah tries to test Israel or attack IDF forces in order to collapse the agreement, Jerusalem is warning that the response will be crushing and unprecedented.
