Maserati EV discounts now up to $85,000 in the US
Right off the bat, it’s important to note that Maserati hasn’t publicised these discounts itself. However, CarsDirect, a US-based online car portal, reports that Maserati has circulated a bulletin to American dealerships instructing them to drastically reduce the prices of its luxury EVs using the Folgore EV Assistance Cash Scheme. The headline discount is undoubtedly the $85,000 price cut to the GranTurismo and GranCabrio Folgore trims, the base prices of which are normally between $200,000 and $208,000 respectively. That means a sale price of $115,000 for the GranTurismo and $123,000 for the GranCabrio EV trims; still, eye-watering sums of money for any car, but a significant discount nonetheless. CarsDirect also states that the Italian automaker’s other EV, the Grecale Folgore SUV, is eligible for a $40,000 incentive in the US market – bringing its price down from $121,290 to a lower $81,290.It means that the first two models mentioned are now cheaper than their internal combustion engine counterparts in the United States, with the Folgore meanwhile being just slightly more expensive than the petrol Grecale. There is no indication at this stage that similar discounts apply in Europe or other regions. For now, the price reductions appear to be limited to the US market.carsdirect.com
