Dems tied to Peltola helped recruit spoiler candidates: NYT

An investigation by the New York Times confirms something that’s been widely suspected but never proven: that Democrats were behind a potential spoiler candidate in Alaska — the other Dan Sullivan — who qualified for the general election ballot.

Among those confirming the story is Mary Peltola’s former campaign manager and longtime aide, who was fired in August during an overhaul of the campaign. Elisa Rios said Peltola herself wasn’t directly involved but was “definitely aware.”
