Trump Demands Peltola Be PROSECUTED, Removed From Alaska Ballot Over 'Fake' Sullivan Row

US President Donald Trump has demanded that Democratic Senate candidate Mary Peltola withdraw from Alaska's Senate race and face criminal prosecution following a New York Times investigation into an alleged spoiler-candidate recruitment operation. Trump accused Democrats of deliberately fielding a second candidate named Dan Sullivan to confuse voters and undermine incumbent Republican Senator Dan Sullivan. Calling the alleged operation voter fraud, Trump demanded that both Peltola and the namesake candidate be removed from the ballot and prosecuted. Peltola's campaign and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee deny recruiting candidates. The New York Times investigation did not establish criminal wrongdoing, and recruiting spoiler candidates is generally legal in Alaska.
