Democratic and Republican campaigns in Michigan's 7th district are racing to mobilise young voters ahead of a tightly contested House race. Democrat Will Lawrence and Senate hopeful Abdul El Sayed are relying on student canvassers and backing from Maxwell Frost, America's youngest congressman, while Republicans have bussed in hundreds of young volunteers to support incumbent Tom Barret. With more than seven million registered voters in Michigan, both parties believe the outcome could hinge on just a few thousand ballots.
